Goo Goo Dolls at Regions Arena

Goo Goo Dolls join Def Leppard and The Struts for a rock concert at Regions Arena on April 20, 2027. The Mobile, Alabama date brings three bands together for an arena-scale night of pop-rock and classic rock. Tickets are listed through mobiletickets.org under Mobile Concerts and Pop / rock.

Formed in Buffalo, New York, in 1986, the Goo Goo Dolls developed from punk and alternative roots into a melodic rock band led by singer-guitarist John Rzeznik and bassist-vocalist Robby Takac. Their 1998 album Dizzy Up the Girl delivered enduring hits including “Iris,” “Slide” and “Black Balloon.” Other notable songs in their catalog include “Name,” “Here Is Gone” and “Big Machine.”

The band's long-running appeal comes from emotionally direct songwriting and a sound that connects alternative-rock energy with pop hooks. “Iris,” which became a defining hit of the late 1990s, is especially known for its audience singalong appeal. The supplied event lineup lists Def Leppard and The Struts alongside the Goo Goo Dolls; exact set times and the order of performances have not been provided.
